Aaron O'Donovan

Aaron O’Donovan started studying music when he was 8 learning percussion. He had lessons from Dave Mc Clelland from 2001 until 2003. In 2004 he started to learn trombone from Ger Condon and also started to receive music theory lessons from him for junior cert and later in Harte's school of music for leaving cert. He has played with Clonakilty Brass Band, Blarney Brass and Reed Band, Cork County Youth Orchestra, Cork School of Music Symphony Orchestra, Cork School of Music Wind Ensemble, Cork School of Music Jazz Band, Cork Symphony Youth Orchestra and Gleneagle Brass and Reed Band.

He is currently playing trombone at a college degree level studying a Ba Honours degree in music and has completed the first year of his studies. On completion of these studies he hopes his masters abroad in America. He is hoping to major in performance and education and would like to be a music teacher at a later stage in his life.  Ger Condon was the one who inspired him to continue studying music through his teachings. H thoroughly enjoyed learning music from him and also the opportunity to play in a similar age group and standard of playing with Clonakilty Brass Band.
